Position: Pricing & Solutions Analyst
Compensation: $65,000 - 70,000 Annually
Job Description:
Forward Air / Omni Logistics is seeking a skilled and motivated Pricing & Solutions Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing rate requests and negotiating with vendors, airlines, carriers, co-loaders, and third parties across U.S., U.S. territories, and Canada. You will handle spot quotes as well as the tender process for these regions. Leveraging your expertise in ocean, air, and intermodal logistics, you will provide competitive rates, ensure client satisfaction, and contribute to the organization's overall pricing strategy.
Core Responsibilities:
- Request and negotiate rates with the vendors, airlines, carriers, co-loaders and third parties
- Provide rates to the customer with deep knowledge of air, ocean and intermodal logistics processes
- Complete requests per US organizational pricing strategies under the guidance of the pricing and procurement management
- Answer all pricing quote requests (EXW, FCA, DDP, DAP, CIP, CPT...) in a timely manner
- Ensure client satisfaction by consistently responding to emails from clients and agents/partners with professionalism and punctuality
- Insert the monthly rates of the contracts in the system or in monthly spreadsheets provided to the customer, as needed
- Create One Off Quote in CW1, making good practice of using internal tools and systems for quotes
- Communicate and educate customers & agent partners about the USA rules and internal documentation
- Assist upper management in building and maintaining strong relationships with air, ocean, and trucking service providers, negotiating favorable rates
- Collaborate with internal teams – sales, procurement, operations, and domestic pricing—to review RFQ proposals and ensure they meet customer requirements
- Utilize advanced Excel models and data visualization tools to support decision-making process and reporting
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Pricing and RFQ experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience driving rate map strategy
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Experience Spot/ BIDs/Tenders Global Air and Ocean modals (General Cargo, DG, Temp Control, AOG)
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Cargowise proficiency
- Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication in English, Spanish desirable
- Team-player capable of working in a team-orientated
- Positive environment driven, proactive and detailed-oriented
- Strategic thinking, sense of responsibility
