We have an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Pricing. The role is pivotal in developing and implementing pricing strategies and tactical plans aligned to the business to capture and to preserve value across the portfolio. This role collaborates with Marketing, Finance, and Sales to take our pricing capabilities to the next level and will work in a matrix within the organization. Excellent excel/analytic skills and communication and presentation skills are required. This position reports to the Director of Global Pricing for CRM.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Advise on high value customer price engagements / RFP negotiations. Consult with Contracting team and Sales team to shape proposals.
- Scope and execute price initiatives such as targeted price increases. Partner with Sales to execute. Own results.
- Working with Global Price Director, drive continual improvement of pricing processes and tools to continually advance global pricing capabilities.
- Partner with Global and Regional marketing to define and develop value-based pricing strategies for product launches. Coordinate pricing research as needed.
- Report quarterly on price performance to business leadership providing insight on root causes and recommendations.
- Provide price market inputs and assumptions into planning and forecasting efforts.
- Partner with Marketing to develop and maintain list price and Governance parameters.
Education- Bachelor's Degree required. Background in quantitative discipline is helpful.
Knowledge & Competencies
- A minimum of 6-8 years of business experience is required with 3 plus years of pricing / contract experience. Experience in medical device industry is required.
- Knowledge of 3+ different medical device markets / therapies of various sizes and device prices (disposable / implantable / capital) is a plus. CRM experience also a plus.
- A leadership role requiring extensive influential authority and change management skills possibly including management of a price governance process or similar cross-functional decision-making board.
- Knowledge of value definition and experience guiding marketing and sales teams to implement pricing strategies. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques a plus.
- Deep understanding of sales teams, how they think, what matters to them and how to influence.
- Knowledge of enterprise business software and interfaces (e.g. SAP / Business Objects) and proven ability to extract, cleanse, manipulate and present data
- Very strong PowerPoint and Excel skills. Proven ability to translate large amounts of data into actionable insights and coherent strategies. Able to see both the forest and the trees.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with multiple business partners and influence key stakeholders
- Enjoy the challenge posed by 'problems' and enjoy solving them. Ability to inform rapid, but fact-based decision-making with imperfect data. Self-motivated, driven to achieve teams' commitments.
- Curious/Inquisitive: Investigates the current situation, asks the relevant questions needed to get the whole picture then provides specific actionable recommendations
