The analyst will be responsible for financial management of government sales with a primary focus on our government Group Purchasing Organization contract. This role conducts analysis related to the standardization, profitability, price & cost points, contract reporting and sales trends in the government segment. The analyst will work with Sales, Sales Support & Contracts to preform corrective actions as needed. The analyst will also be involved with the strategy and implementation of a new government business entity.
Analyze the government contract / GPO pricing structure and maintenance processes. Make recommendations for price standardization within the contractual guidelines. Perform ongoing review and maintenance, as well as review all current reporting processes for improvement and margin enhancement.
Work with Sales and Sales Support to implement price updates related to contract changes. Evaluate, refine and monitor the processes.
Work collaboratively with all internal departments for ongoing margin initiatives and cost impact analysis.
Serve as pricing liaison between internal teams and monitor of contract pricing to ensure compliance.
Review sales trends to understand business at risk.
Help develop, implement and maintain the new pricing strategy for the new government business entity.
Special projects, integrations, migrations and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements 5+ years accounting, finance, finance analytics or similar experience
Degree or equivalent years of experience
2+ years experience sharing insights from large datasets with business and leadership
1+ years SQL, Oracle
1+ years experience using analytical and modeling tools, statistical software, or data visualization tools such as Power BI.
1+ years with Python and Tableau
Advanced MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access,)
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of pricing concepts
Prior experience working with complex and unstructured data
Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
Understanding of basic statistical concepts (e.g. analysis of variance)
Experience with product sales or margin analysis
Analytical and mathematical ability with good organizational skills
Knowledge of the healthcare industry
Knowledge of VBA preferred
Prior experience supporting government contracts
