As part of the EMEA Pricing Strategy team, this person will be the key pricing & contracting partner for the Strategic Account Management (SAM) and CardioVascular (CV) overlay strategic accounts in Western Europe. He/She will be working in close collaboration with the Operating Unit Strategic Pricing, the country pricing organizations and with the offer and contracting strategic team to develop and support the SAM and CV overlay organization in designing and executing pricing and contracting strategies for strategic Pan-MDT and CV strategic accounts. He will also be responsible to develop innovative pricing and contracting models to differentiate Medtronic in the marketplace.
• Work with the EMEA SAM and CV overlay teams in developing/leveraging the pricing and contracting strategies for SAM & CV strategic accounts in order to leverage the breadth of MDT portfolio, drive growth, market share gains and long-term partnerships. • Develop systematic innovative pricing models including value based multi OUs offering & contracting approaches and methodologies to be leverage across Western Europe • Define and lead pricing overlay/CV pricing & deal governance initiative and reviews in cooperation with OU strategic pricing, SAM and CV organizations. • Support and advise on key deals and ensure they are meeting the OU pricing strategy and overlay governance and escalate if & when needed. • Develop reporting contract reporting capabilities to manage contract thru their lifecycle • Use sound judgment and strong pricing, contracting & financial skills to interact with regional Vice-President, SAM and CV overlay leaders, regional Pricing OU leaders.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
• Strong Leadership and influence skills for all levels of the business The ideal candidate should have in-depth understanding and experience with the development and execution of pricing and contracting strategies that optimize revenue and profitability. Significant experience is required in pricing, sales or downstream/operational marketing, commercial excellence. • Knowledge of tender and contracting methodologies in Western Europe. • Strong business acumen and financial understanding. • Excellent analytic and strategic skills - Demonstrated analytical and statistical problem solving skills. • Strong modeling skills (Excel) • Process oriented. • Experience with working in a matrix structure. • Strong communication and negotiation skills - Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. • Team player and track record of working collaboratively to manage cross-functional, cross country and cross-business issues and generate impact through others. • At ease in different cultures and situations. • Fluent in English, any other European languages is a benefit. • Experience in medical device industry or pharmaceuticals is a plus.
