The Sr. Manager, Pricing is responsible for leading the company pricing vision, mission, strategies and policies to preserve and expand existing revenue and profit streams and maximize future opportunity. The position works closely with executive, product, sales, marketing, delivery, and financial teams within the pricing lifecycle to prepare the company for market adaptations to existing and new revenue opportunities.
What you will be doing
Collaborate with leadership to develop corporate modernization strategies and standards for the organization.
Enable corporate alignment by driving and communicating high priority pricing initiatives.
Explore pricing models and drive packaging improvements based on customer value/willingness-to-pay, competitive landscape and business strategy.
Set the vision for educational pricing curriculum to support onboarding and continuing education of corporate stakeholders internal and external to the pricing team.
Measure, track and report pricing key performance indicators to enable continuous improvements and transform findings into actionable recommendations.
Lead a team to design pricing feedback tools and venues intended to add the voices of customers, partners, analysts and internal stakeholders to support pricing decisions.
Develop and monitor an annual budget
Collaborate with management, team members and cross departmental stakeholders in creation and coordination of mutual goals
Provide managerial direction and develop and communicate quality metrics for team. Measure and hold direct reports accountable for meeting defined performance standards; provide feedback to employees
Oversee all Human Resources-related managerial functions and responsibilities associated with hiring, compensation management, employment relations, and termination of employees
Oversee the development of team members; provides coaching to employees through their personal growth in: functional expertise, communication skills, and ability to effectively interact with clients and peers. Assist with identifying and developing future leaders.
Operate as a thought leader among the team; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department
Serve as an escalation point for issues; provide guidance and resources to assist with resolution of issues, and removing obstacles for team
Manage the strategic planning and oversight of all projects/programs to an acceptable level of risk by balancing scope, time, cost and quality
Evaluate, define and maintain the process and procedures used by team; Identify opportunities for process improvement and greater efficiency, and serve as an advocate for change
What will make you successful
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in related field such as: Pricing, Business, Technology, Data Analytics, Finance, Product Management
Strong ability to communicate value drivers supporting pricing initiatives and their impact on business; ability to communicate financial impact of pricing initiatives on overall business objectives are required
Strong Ability to consistently provide clear and concise written and verbal communication; excellent presentation skills
Demonstrated experience leading pricing strategies, complex pricing analysis and complex financial modeling for B2B software companies with experience in cloud, subscription and hosted offerings
4+ years of experience managing a team of pricing analysts
