The Pricing Analyst is responsible for data gathering and analyzing pricing performance in the marketplace. The position will research competitive pricing trends and make recommendations on pricing strategy to improve our pricing effectiveness, win rates and customer revenue across our brands. The strategic pricing analyst must be comfortable collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Work closely with the business to ensure alignment between pricing strategy and business strategy.
Identify key pricing insights and opportunities based on analysis of transactional data.
Surface opportunities for pricing optimization, based on market and business conditions.
Assess performance of pricing initiatives, including opportunities for continuous improvement.
Participate in the making of strategic decisions about setting and adjusting target price levels to maximize gross margin dollars, increase revenue per unit and increase volume.
Track and report material cost changes that could impact the business.
Manage intercompany pricing.
Develop regular reports as requested from management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years pricing experience.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with imperfect information to inform data-driven decision-making, including the ability to make and support strong, financial business cases.
Excellent risk assessment, financial modeling and problem solving.
Mastery of Microsoft Excel with Tableau experience a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Work independently and as a team member
Certified Pricing Professional is a plus.
