The Pricing & Quoting Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate cost analyses and quotes for installation, freight, and rigging at the time of order, as well as providing contract and special pricing support during the quoting process. The Pricing & Quoting Specialist ensures all cost elements are accurate, compliant, and timely, supporting both Sales and Design & Estimation teams while helping to maintain margin integrity and reduce project risk. This role also performs light quality control, verifying details as part of the pre-order process and throughout all the touchpoints for this role.
Core Functions of the Role:
- Generate installation, freight, and rigging quotes at the time of order.
- Provide contract and special pricing quotes during the quoting process to support Sales and Design & Estimation.
- Verify costs for labor, freight, delivery, and vendor services using company tools and spreadsheets.
- Maintain knowledge of vendor contracts, terms, and conditions; apply them appropriately in all quotes.
- Collaborate with Sales and Design & Estimation teams to ensure quotes align with project requirements.
- Ensure cost analyses meet departmental standards prior to release.
- Maintain organized records of vendor quotes and special pricing agreements.
- Provide feedback on recurring cost or pricing issues and suggest process improvements.
- Manage multiple requests simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 23 years of experience in cost analysis, estimating, pricing, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of installation, freight, and rigging cost drivers preferred.
- Excellent mathematical skills, including markup, profit margin, and cost allocation.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM software preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across Sales and Design & Estimation teams.
Education and/or Experience: Associate's Degree or equivalent; two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as percentages, ratios, markups, and margins. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
