Under supervision of the Business Unit (BU) Sales Leadership
The Global Pricing Analyst (GPA) promotes the accountability that profitability goals are to be optimized for the assigned products, through the use of discounts/authority guidelines provided to Marketing and Business Unit personnel.
The GPA works with Sales & Marketing and Business Unit Sales personnel to coordinate actions that are intended to grow and maintain a successful business.
Ownership of the Special Pricing Process within the Business Unit.
Promote the optimization of contribution/gross margin percentage for the product lines.
Develop and nurture strong cooperative relationships with Marketing, finance, and Business Unit personnel.
Facilitate agreement within multiple internal channels to achieve the optimal price for acceptable business or bring alignment in the decision to no quote.
Perform analysis of existing business in order to develop and support the evaluation and subsequent plans to remediate the low margin business relative to Turolla financial targets.
Works frequently with the Price Planning Teams globally as well as other Sales, Marketing, and Finance personnel to continually improve the pricing process by eliminating barriers to achieve the desired cycle time back to the customer
Good knowledge of products produced by the BU relative to features and benefits to the customer
General understanding of the financial ratios used in supporting a business that meets profitability goals.
Collects, stores, analyses and shares information relative to competitor pricing and competitor pricing strategies
Provide input towards the development of gross (list) prices for new materials including added variant options.
Understanding master data and implications how changes affect other functional areas
Ability to present results effectively and communicate with all levels of management.
Analysis and distribution of CRM data within the BU
Training of pricing methodology to Sales & Marketing as well as required BU personnel.
SAP Super User for Variant Configuration development and maintenance.
BIW Super User for BU Sales reporting.
Focus and prioritize activities assigned projects and assume responsibilities for their success.
Author Standard Work and solicit feedback to foster continuous improvement.
Responsible for auditing pricing quality for the quarterly releases of the Product Selection Tool
Prepare monthly activity reports.
? Creating list prices for new product options as well as new options for existing products.
? Product and Option Price Positioning strategy and rule to create list prices (Guidelines).
? Analysis of product gaps.
SAP, Excel, database
· Solid knowledge of products produced by the BU
· Basic knowledge of Turolla products, systems and applications preferred with a overall knowledge of the sales process.
· Strong knowledge of key IT tools .
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of mobile market customers and the various market segments in which Turolla operates.
· Energetic, willing to promote alignment for optimum pricing solutions.
· Demonstrates customer oriented thinking and works well with varied personalities within Danfoss. A high degree of professionalism is required.
