This exciting role as a Senior Pricing Manager (AR/GA) will be responsible for Optimizing financial performance through improved price performance along with supervisory responsibilities; this position has multiple direct supervisory responsibilities in a multi-state geographic area.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Leadership & Planning
Provide leadership and escalation/approval point for Pricing department in the absence of the Pricing Director
Mentor other members of the Pricing department, and selectively as mentor to high potential employees outside of Pricing
Present recommendations on pricing and profit optimization topics to senior management, within and across Rheem operating units
Conceive, define and lead pricing process improvement initiatives, including delegating elements of the project to other team members
Develop new/innovative pricing structures to optimize profitability, field pricing flexiblity, and pricing controls
Lead cross-divisional and cross-functional initiatives focused on pricing and profit optimization
Support Pricing Director in the development of annual price budget as well as longer term strategic planning for the Pricing function
Market Studies & Price Setting
Pricing accountability at the Rheem Division level, covering all segments and channels.
Lead, direct and participate in recommendations for standard market pricing, based on competitive analysis and product advantages
Review, revise, approve and/or escalate to senior management the pricing recommendations from the analysts.
Design, recommend and present to leadership all details surrounding a general price increase
Define processes and approach for capturing and utilizing competitive pricing data to improve pricing decisions
Lead value pricing and profitability discussions for new product releases
Performance Measurement & Analysis
Lead, direct and participate pricing and profit optimization projects
Define approach for measuring price gains across all business segments, and compare actual performance to planned performance
Lead and define processes and approach for measuring impact of, and lessons learned from, past pricing decisions
Define metrics and KPIs for dashboard reporting that align with current departmental objectives
Pricing Program Management
Define strategies and approach for managing all exception pricing programs
Define approach and guidelines for implementing general price increases across quotes and exception pricing programs
Define strategies for the use of customer rebate programs
Define strategies and approaches to ensure proper and controlled use of exception pricing programs.
Pricing Systems & Data
Define source reference data needed to feed into decision support tools for optimal pricing decisions
Direct, lead and participate in pricing systems improvement projects, working cross-functionally and across divisions to ensure all requirements are satisfied
Define and direct initiatives to upgrade decision support technology used for price decision making
Internal & External Interfaces / Liaison
External: Regularly interface directly with senior leaders from distributors, channel partners, agents, consultants, etc. on strategic and tactical pricing matters.
Internal: Lead and participate in interactions with various internal departments, including sales, finance, product, IT, etc.
WHAT YOU NEED
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, or Engineering (MBA preferred)
14-18 years of work experience in Finance, Marketing, Customer Service, Purchasing, Sales, but most preferably in Pricing/Revenue Management (10-15 years with MBA)
Manufacturing and/or two-step distribution industry experience preferred
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications and database management; power user of MS Excel.
Experience with Oracle BI Answers, SQL, MS Access, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) a plus
