The Senior Manager of Strategic Pricing will lead a group of approximately 10 employees and be responsible for day-to-day leadership of the group and will be tasked with strategically aligning the pricing organization with the enterprise. Other responsibilities include:
Drive the pricing strategy throughout the sales, marketing and product organizations.
Develop a methodology to enhance the Company’s ability to capture more value through their pricing activities; instill value based pricing philosophy for setting prices, changing prices and deviating from list prices.
Drive strategic change and enhanced pricing/profitability rigor to the current framework and establish a structure that will drive enterprise sales across various market segments, products and solutions and increase net income.
Develop methodologies using established pricing models and analytical tools, to provide guidance on strategic pricing decisions and improve net income generation
Manage pricing tactics including configuration, discount structure and tactical implementation as relevant to each business unit.
Develop innovative pricing solutions that minimize discounting.
Oversees the approval process and pricing systems for all Residential pricing data.
Establishes pricing strategy for products and services based on market review and competitive intelligence.
Qualifies growth potential and margin impact of select pricing actions to business leaders.
Works with product management and field sales management on price development.
Oversees profitability analysis for incremental sales opportunities.
Track price performance at company, region, district, price vehicle level.
Responsible for the maintenance of Vendavo pricing system and oversee tasks that support creating, maintaining, updating and distributing of pricing.
Manages the staffing, work, development and performance of assigned employees.
Minimum bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Candidate must have experience managing teams
Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
Deep business acumen or experience in driving profit, managing a P&L, revenue generation or cost management.
Understanding of financial data, competitive markets and pricing dynamics.
Effective in written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead and motivate employees to reach objectives.
Experienced in providing consultative support to multiple stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of SAP, Vendavo, Qlik, SQL or Access is preferred.
